Stop Poverty Foundation has been operational since May, 2014. We have created and funded programs internationally and locally. We have programs to provide financial aid to deserving students, provide funding to start a small business, improve housing and living conditions, mass feeding and basic relief distribution to homeless, low-income families, abandoned and neglected elders and families affected by disaster. This was made possible by our benefactors who have generously given donations. We are a public non-profit organization, 501 (C) (3), in good standing.

Stop Poverty Foundation's mission is to meet the challenges of the community or communities that we serve worldwide, through the services and programs that we create specifically to combat poverty and hunger, rehabilitate and empower battered and abused women, children, the elderly, and to support endeavors and projects aimed at maintaining the integrity of individuals and families in terms of their physical, financial and socio-cultural needs as a whole. This organization is in the spirit of helping the community and enhancing the lives of those we serve.
On October 18, 2025, Stop Poverty Foundation (SPF) sponsored a fundraising Musical Event, Love and Peace X11I," Joyful Days" to raise funds for the SPF humanitarian projects, locally and internationally. The Love and Peace series of fundraising events, as started by our late founder, mentor and producer, Mary M, fulfills the mission of Stop Poverty Foundation to help make an impact on the lives of the less fortunate, through the different programs of SPF to combat hunger and poverty and restore their dignity, The event was held at the Carson Community Center in Carson, CA.
With deep gratitude, SPF would like to acknowledge the generosity of our sponsors, benefactors, families and we acknowledge the participation and support of the officers and volunteers, who rendered their services and performances. The Dinner/Dance/Show fundraising event was very successful and have met and exceeded SPF’s goal with more than 130 guests who generously supported and enjoyed the performances of the volunteers who are members of Stop Poverty Foundation.
As done with previous fundraising events, SPF chose 2 recipients, who are aligned with the mission of SPF to help the less fortunate.
For 2025, SPF officers presented a check for $7,000.00, to the Fund Development Director, Julie Hale of Operation Safehouse, located in Riverside, CA. Operation SafeHouse, has served the community for 35 years and with community support, provides emergency shelter, intervention and outreach services to run away, homeless or other youth in crisis for youth between 8 -21 years old. They also have a program that helps adults from 18 -24 years old with emergency housing. Operation SafeHouse offers the youth positive alternatives to becoming victims of the streets.
The 2nd recipient is the Casa Youth Shelter, located in Los Alamitos, CA. and has been serving the youth in crisis for 46 years. Casa Youth Shelter’s mission is to serve and nurtures youth in crisis with shelter, counseling, and support services, empowering them to come through their crisis with increased confidence, stability, and tools for continued growth. Casa Youth Center serves and helps youth between 12 – 17 years old. A donation of $7,000.00, was accepted by Casa Youth Center’s Executive Director, Lupita Gutierrez.
